Psalm 5:3; 9:9-10 (NIV)

LEADER: In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;

CONGREGATION: In the morning, I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

LEADER: The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.

CONGREGATION: Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD have never forsaken those who seek you.

Prayer Time

• Pray for our nation – that the good news of Jesus Christ would draw people to know God genuinely and personally.
• Pray for those suffering from the ongoing spread of the coronavirus.
• Pray for those experiencing racial injustices; specifically, that God would bring hope, reconciliation, and restoration through the good news of His Son.
• Pray for those in authority at every level in our country, that they would govern wisely and justly.

⁴⁰ And a leper came to him, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, “If you will, you can make me clean.” ⁴¹ Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” ⁴² And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean. ⁴³ And Jesus sternly charged him and sent him away at once, ⁴⁴ and said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, for a proof to them.” ⁴⁵ But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was out in desolate places, and people were coming to him from every quarter.

LEADER: Christian, what do you believe about your Lord Jesus Christ?

CONGREGATION: Though He was in the form of God, [He] did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.  Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
